Tara Das, small time smuggler in the film Aathirathram has spread his wings and now has a business empire that has international ramifications. Mammootty does double roles in Balram vs. Tara Das as the police officer and the arch villain. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif makes her debut in Malayalam with this film, where she plays the role of the actress and Tara Das' companion Supriya. The film will see the coming together of Mammootty and director I.V. Sasi after a gap of 14 years. Other films of the team include Aksharangal , Aathirathram , Aalkoottathil Thaniye , Anubandham , Vaartha , Mrugaya , and Inspector Balram . T. Damodaran - S.N. Swamy team up to do the story, Script and Dialogue for Balram vs. Tara Das . Cinematography is by Sajeev Shankar. Jazzy Gift does the music and has some sizzling numbers in the film. Kaithapram handles the lyrics. The film is slated for release on January 26, 2006. Coming after the resounding success of Nerariyan CBI and Rajamanikyam, audience expectation from Balram vs. Tara Das is bound to be high. Will Mammootty deliver? |
