Shooting of Thuruppugulan is progressing at Kochi. In the new year also, Mammootty intends to continue his winning streak through Thuruppugulan. Mammootty and Sneha were present at Kalamassery near FACT for certan scenes of Thuruppugulan. Lots of School children were also present to see the shooting. Johny Antony, the hit producer and the director Milan Jaleel are coming together for the first time in Thuruppugulan. The name of the movie seems to be apt for the story. The film will portray the superstar in a very different role, who enacts the role of a card player who runs a roadside 'thattukada' or a small fast-food eatery shop. It is an action comedy film scheduled to be released during the coming Visu.
THe movie is an entertainer to match the festival mood of Vishu. The director is trying to use Mammootty to the maximum with action, comedy and sentiments all mixed in 'Thuruppugulan'. Sanjeev Shanker is the cameraman of Thuruppugulan. Sneha plays the heroine for the film.
